This position will effectively meet set new business and renewal business sales goals. Agents will work to effectively build solid relationships with clients. This position will identify and solicit prospects from various sources both self generated and additional prospecting avenues provided by the agency. This position will carry the agency’s reputation, ethical and professional manner of conducting business as the agent enters in to the dealings with clients. The new business minimum goal for all sales agents is $60,000 in new business commission and is required each calendar year. This goal must be met by targeting accounts with $2500 minimum commission, anything under will not be credited. Commission will not be paid on accounts less than the minimum commission standards set by the agency. New business commission is paid out per the agency guidelines for that individual year. All other department new business commission and all renewal as determined by the agency practices and standards and will be split with department sales agents or mentor if applicable.

Must follow all agency workflows, guidelines, and procedures including, but not limited to the contents of the Associate Handbook. Must immediately report all malfunctions of EPIC software and any other hardware, software, system or equipment to the appropriate individual.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE and/or LICENSING
Texas Property and Casualty Agent License issued by the Texas Department of Insurance. CIC designated candidate preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of education and successful sales experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Must be deemed to effectively speak, read, write, and effectively comprehend English. Must be able to successfully present insurance solutions to clients with ease. Bilingual skills are required/preferred (English/Spanish).
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must posses basic math skills. Ability to perform these basic operations using units of American money and weight measurement, and volume. Ability to calculate premiums based on exposures and rates.
INDUSTRY REQUIREMENTS
Texas License required in good standing with the state requiring all CE to maintain license.
